Our Fabric:
ePBT / PBT
ePBT = PBT polyester (Polybutylene Terephthalate)
It’s not just “polyester” - it’s a specific high-performance type of polyester engineered for swimwear.
Key differences vs normal polyester/Lycra:
-
Built-in stretch (without Lycra):
PBT has natural elasticity and shape recovery similar to spandex, but without breaking down quickly -
Extreme chlorine resistance:
It’s one of the most chlorine-resistant swim fabrics available, outperforming standard blends -
Holds shape long-term:
Unlike Lycra (which dies fast in pools), PBT maintains structure and elasticity over time -
Durable + long-lasting:
Can handle hundreds of hours in chlorinated water without degrading -
Quick-drying + low water absorption:
Doesn’t soak up water → lighter feel + better performance -
Less stretch than Lycra, but more stable:
It stretches, but it’s more controlled and compressive (performance feel)
Looking Ahead
While 100% polyester is our go-to for durability and performance right now, we’re always evolving.
We’re currently testing new materials, including 100% recycled polyester and spandex blends, to expand our range and offer more options in fit, feel, and sustainability. Our goal is to give you the best of both worlds: performance you can rely on, with more flexibility in how it feels and fits.
Stay tuned for the launch of our 100% recycled swimwear.
