Beach Clean: Macke x Newquay Beach Care
Share
Tourism brings so much life and energy to Cornwall, but it also leaves its traces. With the summer season winding down and footfall on our beaches beginning to ease, we’re timing our beach clean-up to mark the end of summer: Sunday, 14th September. After a busy season, there’s likely to be some waste left behind, making this the perfect moment to come together and restore our beaches.
Where and when?
Great Western Beach, Newquay. We’ll start the clean at 6pm on Sunday 14th September.
Here’s the plan:
- We’ll gather rubbish and debris from the beach, following the event.
- Some of these items will feature in Macke’s upcoming ocean-waste photoshoot, highlighting the impact of litter on our shores.
What do you need to bring?
Absolutely nothing - just yourself and a bit of positive energy!
We’ll provide all the essentials:
- Gloves to keep your hands safe and clean.
- A number of litter pickers available to borrow if you’d prefer not to handle items directly.
- Collection bags to help us sort and gather everything efficiently.
By attending this clean-up, you’ll be making a real difference, helping restore Cornwall’s beaches for everyone to enjoy.
As a thank you, all volunteers will receive exclusive discounts on our new collection launching this autumn.
